Mission
Walk alongside you through the complexities of parenting, relationships, and mental health struggles, while fully honoring neurodivergent identities
Hello, I’m Sarah Takahashi
Through a client-centered and relational lens, I help you find lasting peace.
I believe that healing happens in the context of safe, caring relationships. whether I am working with a child, a teenager, a parent, or an entire family, my goal is to create a space where people feel understood, accepted, and supported as they navigate challenges and discover their strengths. my work is grounded in cultural humility and genuine curiosity an openness to each family’s values, identities, and lived experiences.
Over the past 15 years, I have worked in a variety of child, youth and family mental health settings, including community mental health, in patience psychiatry, addictions services, and psychological assessment. As a therapist, I bring a holistic approach to helping individuals, parents, and families navigate life’s complex layers. My experience has taught me that every person is unique, and effective therapy begins with understanding each individual’s story, relationships, culture, and personal strengths. Whether you are managing the daily weight of anxiety and depression, working through the cycle of OCD, navigating the unique joys and challenges of parenting, or seeking to deepen your relationships, I am here to support you. I am deeply committed to providing neurodivergent-affirming care, honoring your unique identity and processing style without judgment.
My approach is warm, collaborative, relational, client-centered, and evidence-based at its core. This means our relationship is the foundation of our work together. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Emotion-Focused Family Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, attachment-based, family therapy, and expressive and play-based approaches. These therapies help children and youth develop insight, emotional regulation, coping skills, confidence, and stronger relationships, while helping parents feel more empowered and connected the their children.
Outside of the therapy room, I am a human just like you, navigating my own journey of growth, connection, and balance. I look forward to meeting you exactly where you are and helping you find lasting peace.

FAQ
Answers to what most clients ask first
Don’t see your question? Reach out — we respond personally within one business day.
How does the coaching process work?
We begin with a free discovery call so we can assess fit and discuss what you’re hoping to work on. From there, you’ll choose a program, receive access to your dashboard, and book your first session. Sessions are held weekly or bi-weekly depending on your plan.
How do I book my sessions?
Sessions are booked directly through your AllCoach dashboard. Once you enroll, you’ll see an integrated calendar where you can select a time that works for you — no back-and-forth emails needed.
What are your qualifications?
I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor credential (LMHC). I’m also a Professional Certified Coach through the ICF and have completed specialized training in trauma-informed care and the Gottman Method. I’ve been in practice for 12 years with over 1,200 clients.
Do you offer sliding-scale or reduced fees?
I keep a small number of sliding-scale spots for clients who need them. Reach out before enrolling and we’ll talk about it honestly — cost shouldn’t be the reason you don’t begin.
Is this therapy or coaching — and what’s the difference?
Both. Therapy focuses on healing — understanding and processing past experiences, mental health, and emotional regulation. Coaching focuses on growth — goals, habits, accountability, and forward movement. My programs blend both intentionally, depending on what you need most.

A single conversation is enough to know whether this is the right fit. There’s no pressure — only possibility.
